Raising the Bar
The Toyota RAV4 has earned its position through consistency rather than reinvention, focusing on usability, efficiency, and dependable engineering. The latest version develops that formula without changing its intent. A revised platform, updated exterior design, and a broader range of electrified powertrains define this new generation. Buyers now choose between hybrid and plug-in hybrid systems, both built to deliver strong efficiency without reducing capability. The all-new 2026 Toyota RAV4 makes the best in the business even better and leaves the competition even further behind.
2026 Toyota RAV4
The hybrid lineup is now the standard version of the 2026 Toyota RAV4. It includes LE, XLE, Woodland, XSE, and Limited trim levels, with additional packages available to extend equipment and technology. Each model uses a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine paired with Toyota’s fifth-generation hybrid system, an electronically controlled continuously variable transmission, and standard electronic all-wheel drive. Total output is 236 horsepower. The cabin accommodates five, with 1,070 litres of cargo space behind the rear seats. Fuel consumption begins at 5.1 L/100 km in the city, 6.0 on the highway, and 5.5 combined for the LE, while the Woodland model records 5.7, 6.7, and 6.2. Towing capacity ranges from 794 kilograms to 1,588 kilograms, depending on trim. All versions include a 12.3-inch digital instrument display, while Toyota Multimedia is available with either a 10.5-inch or 12.9-inch touchscreen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and higher trims add features such as a head-up display, JBL audio, a panoramic view monitor, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, and dual wireless charging.

2026 Toyota RAV4 PHEV
The all-new 2026 Toyota RAV4 PHEV range consists of SE, XSE, Woodland, and GR Sport trims, each powered by a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine, two electric motors, and a high-capacity battery. All models feature all-wheel drive and Toyota’s sixth-generation plug-in hybrid system, producing a combined 324 horsepower. The system provides an estimated electric driving range of up to 80 kilometres, covering many daily journeys without using gasoline. Charging capability varies by trim. The XSE Technology Package includes DC fast charging that can bring the battery to 80 percent in approximately 30 minutes, while other models use a J1772 connection with available 11-kW AC charging. Interior technology mirrors the rest of the lineup, with a 12.3-inch digital display and available 12.9-inch touchscreen. Additional features include Toyota Safety Sense 4.0, premium audio systems, a head-up display, and trim-specific design elements that differentiate each version.
2026 Toyota RAV4 GR Sport
The 2026 Toyota RAV4 GR Sport sits at the top of the plug-in hybrid lineup as a range-topping trim level with a new focus, rather than a separate model. It uses the same 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine, dual electric motors, and high-capacity battery found in other Toyota RAV4 PHEV grades, producing a combined 324 horsepower with standard all-wheel drive. What sets it apart is how that performance is delivered. The suspension uses GR-specific tuning with firmer spring and damper rates, while steering and throttle calibration respond more directly to driver inputs. Exterior changes include unique 20-inch alloy wheels, a GR MATRIX grille, and aero-shaped front and rear spoilers. Inside, the GR Sport features a 12.3-inch digital instrument display, a 12.9-inch touchscreen, and sport seats trimmed in BRIN-NAUB microsuede and SofTex with red stitching. Heated and ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control, and Toyota Safety Sense 4.0 remain standard, ensuring the GR Sport adds focus without diluting the core Toyota RAV4 DNA.
